Job Description

Network Operations Engineer - 12 month FTCRole:Network Operations EngineerLocation:Manchester (Customer Site)Salary Package:£40,000-45,000 + BenefitsWorking Hours:4 on 4 off shift patternKey Responsibilities:

  • Deliver proactive network monitoring and implement corrective action to ensure optimal network performance
  • Provide remote support to Field Engineers working on faults, 2nd/3rd level diagnostics across multiple technologies
  • Demonstrable experience in Incident Management and Service Operations environments
  • Liaise between internal departments, 3rd party suppliers, and customers within agreed SLAs
  • Complete network reports and analysis when required
  • Ensure Governance of processes within the NOC environment
  • Collaborate effectively within our NOC team and adapt to shift patterns
  • Execute authorized changes to customer environments
  • Contribute to delivering team performance
Skills and Experience:
  • Proficiency in Cisco IP Networking, Cisco SD-WAN, and Cisco Wireless technologies from working in a NOC environment
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Solarwinds
  • Demonstrable experience in Incident Management and Service Operations environments
  • Proficient in the use of Cisco System Management Platforms
  • Understanding of network management and use of Network Management Platform tools
  • Self-motivated with the ability to build strong customer relationships and work effectively in a team
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Essential technical/professional qualifications: CCNA
  • Proven track record in complex delivery
  • Security Clearance (SC Clearance) or the ability to attain it
