Role PurposeResponsible for bonded warehouse and customs declarations. To maintain and develop service levels, in orderto enhance continuous development. Unloading and sortation of goods in. Picking, staging and loading &scanning of goods out. Maintenance of excellent housekeeping standards and compliance with all health andsafety requirements.Responsibilities• Manage and maintain Customs inventory system/log• Liaise with centralised Customs team to ensure smooth movement of freight through the warehouse• Admin duties as required, including but not limited to, raising jobs on the Transport Management System and generating export declarations• Assisting the Customs team and finance department in following up on unpaid customs charges• Liaise with Border Force on any issues raised or escalate as appropriate• Support the relevant operational team members to organise and carry out shift functions and to requests from the management team as required• Ensure all warehouse activities are completed efficiently in accordance with appropriate legislation• Ensure Health and Safety requirements are adhered to• Effective and accurate checks and scanning of orders and loading and manifesting of vehicles• Accountable for maintaining all freight in the warehouse and bond• Identify and investigate discrepancies and report to management as appropriate• To be involved in any task that may be required by management to improve the utilisation, or service improvements of the operation.3am - 12pm, basic wage + bonus Required skills
