Technical Pre-Sales Account ManagerPosition Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient individual to join our team as a Technical Pre-Sales Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with potential clients, understanding their technical requirements, andarticulating how our products and services can address their specific needs. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful pre-sales activities.Hours are 37,5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.30 pm with a salary of £35,000 - £40,000, dependant on experience.Key Responsibilities:1. Client Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential clients during the pre-sales phase. Conduct initial calls and meetings to gather technical requirements and understand their unique business challenges.2. Technical Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our products, services, and solutions. Ability to comprehend complex technical concepts and present them in a clear, concise manner tailored to the clients understanding.3. Solution Design: Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to design customized solutions that meet the clients requirements. Prepare technical proposals, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (POC) presentations.4. Needs Analysis: Conduct in-depth needs analysis to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling relevant products and services based on the clients needs.5. Product Demonstration: Conduct compelling product demonstrations that showcase the key features and benefits of our solutions, addressing client pain points effectively.6. RFP/RFI Response: Collaborate with the proposal team to develop comprehensive and accurate responses to Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI) documents.7. Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to provide technical support throughout the sales cycle, ensuring smooth communication and alignment between technical aspects and the clients requirements.8. Market Insights: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to provide valuable insights and competitive advantages during the sales process.9. Relationship Management: Nurture and maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and identifying upselling opportunities.Qualifications and Requirements:- Bachelors degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.- Proven experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or a similar role within the technology industry.- Strong technical acumen with expertise in IT infrastructure, software solutions, cloud technologies, and networking.- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.- Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and understanding customer needs.- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to design effective solutions.- Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.- Familiarity with CRM and sales automation tools is a plus.Join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in driving business growth through your technical expertise and exceptional pre-sales capabilities.
