Job Title: Network Operations Engineer Location: Manchester Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a Network Engineer to join their IT team in Manchester on a 12-month fixed term contract to deliver world class Network Monitoring and Support Services to key customersKey responsibilities:Deliver proactive network monitoring and implement corrective action to ensure optimal network performanceProvide remote support to Field Engineers working on faults 2nd/3rd level diagnostics across multiple technologiesDemonstrative experience in Incident Management and Service Operations environmentsLiaise between internal departments, 3rd party suppliers and customer within agreed SLAsComplete network reports and analysis when requiredEnsure Governance of processes within the NOC environmentWork well within our NOC team and have the ability to work shift patternCreating and performing authorised changes to customer environmentContributing to delivering team performanceYour skills & experience:Good understanding of Cisco IP Networking, Cisco SD-WAN and Cisco Wireless technologies from working in a NOC environment.Experience of ServiceNow and SolarWinds.Demonstrable experience in Incident Management and Service Operations environments.Experienced in use of Cisco System Management PlatformsUnderstanding of network management and use of Network Management Platform tools.A Self-motivating individual with the ability to develop strong customer relationships as well as functioning in a team environmentStrong interpersonal negotiating and communication skillsMust have technical / professional qualifications: CCNAProven track record in complex deliverySC Clearance or ability to attain.
