AWAZE CTOROLE: Network Communications ManagerWe are looking for an inspiring technology leader with the fortitude to drive change at scale and pace to join our UK based team leading the Networking and Communications teams.A key hire within our Tech leadership team, you’ll have a track record in designing, delivering, operating and optimising platforms and services that support distributed workforces and teams across mobile, office based and homeworking scenarios.Role purpose"Modernise and transform our networks and telephony services in a high volume transactional setting."Skills and experience you’ll need to succeed• A demonstrable background in modern network design and operation including SASE and SD-WAN• A broad knowledge of the network and telecoms vendor landscape including products, technologies, tools, platforms and services • Specific experience in provisioning and managing Cisco Switches and Routers, CheckPoint firewalls and IPS/IDS, network routing (BGP, OSPF), WAF products (e.g. Akamai) and related edge security platforms / CDN’s• A clear understanding of and experience in implementing and managing appropriate security devices and platforms and their associated security controls aligned to best practises and defined risks. • Demonstrable experience in leveraging cloud services and platforms as part of a modern network and telecoms strategy, including for example UCaaS and CCaaS• Exposure to AI and ML concepts, patterns and platforms specific to creating business value and competitive advantage as part of a CCaaS implementation• A highly capable business partner able to easily translate business vision, concepts and requirements into technical delivery• A knowledge and understanding of network security principles e.g. zero trust model and OSI layered model and the corresponding implementation practises, including processes, products, services and vendors• Practical experience of encryption/cryptography standards, protocols and technology and a demonstrable understanding of the real internal and external threats and measures to mitigate across a diverse distributed network• Will have played a key role in designing, leading and implementing large scale projects that contribute meaningfully to the success of the business• Experience leading teams in a multi-site business• Exposure to budgets including planning and forecasting• Will have worked in true partnership with teams across all facets of a business building strong and enduring relationships with your colleagues and senior stakeholders• Practical exposure to agile delivery principles and practices• Can demonstrate through clear experience the critical considerations for building, operating and maintaining enterprise scale communication services in high volume transaction environments • Talented team worker, seen as invaluable by your team mates and colleagues• Resilient under pressure and able to be support major incident response and resolution• A capable problem solver and influencer • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbalA word from our CEO: "Shared learnings and group-wide technological solutions will enable us to accelerate the pace at which we grow."What we will give youNot only will you be joining a brand new team, you’ll also have the freedom to inform the best way of working to get the job done and paly a key role in helping us shape the culture of our new, City Centre office.
