Job Description

Position Title: Neighbourhood Housing OfficerLocation: Monsall Street Neighbourhood Housing Office, Monsall Street, Manchester M40 8QZ & Cheetham Hill Neighbourhood Housing Office, 549 Cheetham Hill Road, Manchester M8 9NW - Fixed BasedSalary Range: Grade 6 £28,900 to £32,020 (Bar at £31,099) per annum pro-rataWorking Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-FridayContract Type: x4 Full-Time Permanent and x3 Temporary positions available (x2 6 months, x1 9 months) Application Deadline: 24 February 2023 at 23:59Interview Type: Face to FaceJob Reference: MCC507483/NSWe have numerous exciting opportunities for a Neighbourhood Housing Officer (NHO) role on a permanent and fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. As an NHO, you will have the ability to help the community grow, become a better place to live and benefit fromthe satisfaction of making a difference.This exciting role gives you the opportunity to really make an impact; tackling anti-social behaviour head on, supporting people to manage their tenancies and improving the look of our estates. You will achieve this by building solid relationships in the community,working closely with our tenants and their families.As a natural problem solver, you will be a main contact for Northwards customers, signposting and giving general advice. You will be a strong team player as well as confident and productive when working alone. You must have an enquiring mind and want to makea difference.Applicants will work closely with colleagues internally, such as the Community Safety Team, Design & Delivery Team, Caretaking Team and Resident Liaison Officers and externally with partners such as Greater Manchester Police, the City Council and various supportagencies. You will need to be an excellent communicator, approachable, friendly and when required, assertive and knowledgeable.You must have a full driving licence as access to a car is required on a daily basis.
