Job Description

MOTOR FRAUD CLAIMS HANDLERMANCHESTER CITY CENTRE, HYBRID-WORKING (3 DAYS FROM HOME)EXCELLENT SALARY, BENEFITS AND CAREER OPPORTUNITIESWe are delighted to be bringing a fantastic opportunity to the market with one of our retained clients, an expanding Scandinavian Insurance Company based out of state-of-the-art Spinningfields offices in Manchester City Centre.As a growing insurer across the UK market with ambitious plans and a sustained period of new business successes, our client is looking to expand their claims teams with a Motor Fraud Claims Handler.THE ROLE:As Motor Fraud Claims Handler, you will primarily be expected to proactively screen and investigate a portfolio of motor claims suspected of being fraudulent or having elements of exaggeration.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Your work will cover a broad range of claims from a relatively straight forward nature up to £100ks including credit hire and vehicle damage claims.
  • Handling all aspects of motor fraud claims to include LVI, claims farming, phantom passengers, staged/induced accidents with a strong focus on credit hire fraud.
  • You will use a variety of desktop tools including CUE, MIAFTR, IFIG and Mohawk, together with various internet and database checks.
  • Working closely with the Claims Team to upskill them and assisting other members of the team with referrals.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Proven experience in motor fraud, with credit hire and vehicle damage knowledge from a Defendant perspective.
  • However, applicants from a Claimant background with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • OIC Portal experience is essential, with MOJ Portal experience also being advantageous.
  • Able to assess evidence quickly and proactively drive investigations to achieve the correct outcome.
  • Excellent communication skills, being confident liaising with investigators and panel solicitors daily as well as probing and questioning information submitted.
  • Be extremely organised and have a strong analytical mindset.
