Job Description

Mortgage Team Manager Our client a leading online Mortgage Brokerage are looking for an experienced Team Leader or Team Manager to manage and lead the mortgage and 2nd charge loans division.The Company Based in state of the art offices on the outskirts of Manchester with onsite parking and other impressive onsite facilities - they are a leading online mortgage and secured loan provider based on ever evolving technologyThe Role You will be responsible for supervising, monitoring, and motivating the Mortgage Team and its Advisers, as well as processing mortgage applications where required, in order to ensure a first-class delivery of our service to our clients and key stakeholders.Key duties:

  • Act as a "number 2" to the Department manager
  • Monitoring the day-to-day activities of the team
  • Management of the day-to-day business operations within the team
  • Lead management
  • Management of daily figures
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ensure that service levels are achieved on a consistent basis
  • Ensure that clearly defined processes and controls are documented and followed for all of the team’s activities
  • Continuous process improvement, looking for ways to increase the efficiency and quality of all processes and procedures
  • Support the personal performance and development of the team - hold regular 1:1s
  • Motivating the team to achieve business goals
  • Conducting quarterly performance reviews
  • Contributing to the growth of the company through a successful team
  • Creating a pleasant working environment that inspires a team
  • Maintaining technical competence at an appropriate level to meet the requirements of the role
  • Requirement to support with mortgage processing, i.e., submitting mortgage applications where required and chasing lenders / third parties
    • Skills & Experience:
  • Track record of team motivation and positive performance results
  • Strong interpersonal skills, friendly and professional demeanour
  • Highly self-motivated, attentive and demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Previous experience of managing a team is essential
  • CeMAP Qualified - Level 3
  • Manages own workload and can prioritise tasks whilst displaying high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within the mortgage sector or secured loans sector
