We are partnering with a consultancy working with a Manchester based Automotive client looking to find a Mobile Software Engineer in Test with a passion for quality, and proven experience of automated software testing, is required for a variety of digitalprojects. This roleprovides a unique opportunity to help support and grow a new software development capability.Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Principal Software Test Engineer and working closely with other multi-disciplined engineers, you will be a valued member of the Global Digital Development Centre team, consistently delivering to challenging business objectives, with a focuson testability, robustness, security and performance for exciting new projects. You will work on real projects alongside experienced engineers and will be expected to take on some mentoring and coaching of less experienced test engineers in the lab as wellas contributing to process improvements in the lab.WHAT YOU WILL NEEDA Senior Mobile Software Engineer in Test should have experience in automated software testing in an agile and DevOps culture, with deep knowledge of the STLC and a real passion for quality. Previous involvement in all stages of the software delivery lifecycle,a passion for mentoring and technical coaching of SEITs and excellent verbal and written communication skills are ideal for success within this position.Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceEssentialExperience of automation testing native mobile applications in multi-disciplinary teamsExperience in implementing mobile test strategies for faster feedback loops and to improve testing outcomesStrong programming skills and experience with an OO language such as Python, JavaScript or TypescriptExperience with Appium, Webdriver.io and cross device testing on iOS and Android platformsExperience of testing APIs and relational database technologies such as MySQL or similarExperience of implementing and using cloud based device farmsExperienced advocate for practices such as Test-Driven Development and Pair ProgrammingExperience with source code management and version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab)Experience with modern CI/CD tools and techniquesDesirable:Experience in BDD and creating tests using Gherkin syntaxExperience working with observability and monitoring tools such as Firebase or similarExperience of non-functional testing in a mobile environmentIn order for your CV to be processed effectively, please ensure your name, email address, phone number and location (post code OR town OR county, as a minimum) are included
