Job Description

I am working with an established digital Fashion Retailer based in the Greater Manchester area who are recruiting for an experienced Merchandiser to join them on one of the largest departments in their business.Client DetailsMy client is a successful, digital Fashion business who Retail internationally and have exciting future plans. I am supporting them in the recruitment of an experienced Merchandiser to join their team based in Greater Manchester.DescriptionThe successful Merchandiser candidate will have the following responsibilities;

  • Using data to optimise the sales volume and profitability of all designated product areas.
  • Supporting planning of budgets by category, option count, and depth of buy based on the overall business and financial goals of the company.
  • Controls stock levels based on weekly sales and stock intakes (WSSI)
  • Reviews sales forecasts based on performance, and actions re forecasts.
  • Analyses and monitors best and worst sellers and makes informed recommendations for action
  • Recommends promotions and re buys as necessary
  • Monitors and maintains buying margin and gross profit margins as requested.
  • Ensures that best sellers reach their full potential
    • ProfileThe successful Merchandiser candidate will be;
  • Established at Merchandiser level and able to manage a large department with a number of direct reports
  • Experienced in working at a fast pace, ideally in a trade-focused retail environment
  • Able to thrive in an ever-changing environment where decisions need to be made and actions taken at pace
  • Experienced in clothing retail with a strong understanding of supplier management
