Job Description

Are you an experienced, Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Engineer within an Industrial setting Do you currently work in a production / manufacturing environment, carrying out both reactive and planned (PPM) maintenance on machinery including conveyors, motors and gearboxesWhen you join SUEZ, you get more than a brand-new role.   • The role will be based from our MRF at Longley Lane, Wythenshawe and on a 4 on 4 off PERMANENT NIGHTS 6pm- 6am basis.
What will I be doing as a Maintenance Technician
  • Well look to you to provide planned and reactive maintenance for all areas of plant, making sure plant installations and modifications meet the latest standards and regulatory requirements.
  • At the same time, youll be a valued member of the team, supporting colleagues across different functions.
  • Our junior staff will look to you for guidance and supervision, as will contractors.
What are the requirements
  • To join us in this key position, youll have a predominantly Mechanical background with basic Electrical knowledge, ideally with an Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent experience).
  • Youll have worked / be working in a Maintenance Engineer / Technician role in manufacturing / production engineering environments, having gained hands on knowledge of equipment including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics with anybasic electrical fault finding experience highly beneficial.
  • Ideally qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3.
  • The ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is highly desirable.
  • IOSH is highly desirable, but not essential and can be gained
