My client are on the look out for a Mechanical design engineer to work on a brand-new project. As a Contract mechanical design engineer, you will be working on innovative R&D projects and designing products from concept through to final completion for the pharmaceutical sector. They are looking for Contract Mechanical Design Engineers with excellent machine design skills to work for a high-technology manufacturing company developing complex, high-value precision machined components.The successful Contract Mechanical Design Engineers will join the R&D team developing the next generation of the companys highly specialised machinery, involving detailed design of systems themselves and sub-systems for manufacturing and assembly.If you have your own Solidworks license this would be an advantage as you can work remotelyThis role is suitable for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer:- Proficient with Solidworks & PDM would be an advantage- Design experience of machining, sheet metal, castings and mouldings components.- R&D & Proto type Designs.- Bills of Materials & General Arrangements.- Detailed design drawings for machining and fabrication including precision machined components with geometric tolerances and surface finishes.- Developing design solutions for new and innovative instrumentation- Generate new concepts for products and sub-components- Proving and demonstrating design and process- Drive problem solving activities- Develop product and functional specifications- Manage a combination design and process project- Generate detailed documentation, specifications and design packagesQualifications- Bachelor’s degree or HNC/ HND in mechanical engineering or similar field.If you are on the market for a new opportunity, please email me a copy of your CV
