Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer£40k-£50k Basic Salary (depending on experience) + Pension + Holiday + Benefits. Location - Manchester region.Company:Superb oppportunity to join a Global organisation and Manufacturer within the Waste to Energy and Combustion industries.The Role:

  • As a Mechanical Design Engineer, youll be responsible for the design of mechanical components and systems utilising SolidWorks, AutoCad Plant 3D & NAVISWORKS software.
  • Propose, design, and detail engineering solutions and attend site visits for verification / measurement.
  • Interpret technical requirements of customer specifications and co-ordinate and manage all aspects of each project from development through to production.
  • Assist in procurement by providing technical specs for the in-house buyers and provide fabrication drawings to sub-contractors.
  • Support the Projects and Works departments to ensure all components fit together smoothly and efficiently ensuring compliance with industry regulation.
    • Key Skills and Experience Required:
  • Youll need to come from a strong engineering design / product design background.
  • Ideally Degree qualified.
  • Must have good experience with AUTOCAD as well as a 3D modelling package, preferably Solidworks.
  • Ideally experience in an ISO9001 compliant environment.
  • Working knowledge of mathematics, physics, and fabrication techniques.
