Job Description

Are you a graduate looking for flexible work in east Manchester Are you considering a career in teaching and looking to gain practical classroom experienceI am currently recruiting for confident enthusiastic graduates for flexible temporary work as cover supervisors in an Ofsted Outstanding large vibrant academy in east ManchesterThe role is from September 2022 to July 2023 on an ad hoc day to day supply basisThe RoleGraduate Cover SupervisorWorking hours are 8.15am to 3.15pmThe role will include:

  • Taking the lead in the absence of the teacher
  • Sole responsibility for teaching and learning
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons
  • Using provided resources to encourage learning
  • Managing the behaviour within the classroom
  • Developing independent study skills and peer learning
  • Pastoral and learning support
  • Managing handover back to the teacher
  • Experience of teaching or covering Science, English or Music would be beneficial

  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Bachelors degree or similar equivalent qualification
  • Able to get to Gorton by 8.15 with 30 minutes notice.
