Job Description

Management Accountant (Cost Focussed) - International Creative Agency - ManchesterHarmonic are proud to be working with an internationally renowned Creative Agency based in central Manchester.This is a standout Management Accountant opportunity which will offer enormous growth potential, exposure and experience working in one of the most successful agencies in the UK.You will be joining a team of 5 and will report directly into the Finance Director, this role will sit in the central service centre and will operate in a multi-faceted capacity.The Role:

  • General accounting during the month, at month-end, quarter-end and year-end
  • Finalise period-end processing, balances and P&L - including the preparation, review and sign-off of figures
  • Calculate and input accruals and prepayments
  • Complete balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Review and approve balance sheet account reconciliation
  • Review trial balances
  • Prepare journals for input by the Operational Finance team
  • Approve journal entries
  • Perform accounting for costs of the central functions
  • Internal & External audit
  • Deliver improvements highlighted by internal or external audit teams
  • Assist external auditors in conducting the annual financial audits
  • Management Information (MI)
  • Production of key management information, such as using the travel tableau dashboard
  • Responsibility for preparing and monitoring of KPIs to monitor future performance
  • Management Reporting
  • Source data and create local standard management reports
  • Provide insightful commentary
  • Complete local ad hoc reporting (KPIs)
  • Variance analysis
  • Payroll
  • Management review and approval of payroll across nominated brands
  • Process controls & compliance
Analyse processes and recommend relevant and effective controls to be implemented across UK entitiesDesirable experience:
  • Good communications skills as youll be working closely with the FC and FD
  • Experience in a cost focussed role
