Job Description

In am working with a manufacturing company with exciting and aggressive growth planned with the Head office based in Manchester and operations worldwide on a newly created assistant accountant vacancy. The company is market leader when it comes to promotingsustainability, traceability, and social mobility through their vertically integrated supply chain.The Role:

  • Contribute to the successful running of the business
  • Reporting directly to the senior management accountant
  • Responsibility of management accounts for two entities within the group
  • Responsible for cashflow reporting & forecasting
  • Continuous processing reviews and improvements to adequately support the business activities
  • Providing assistance and advice to non-finance colleagues on a variety of financial matters
  • Responsible for ensuring that financial reconciliations are undertaken on a timely basis, as required
  • Production of weekly, monthly, and other ad hoc financial reports and ensure that these are distributed to the relevant parties, both internally & externally, in a timely manner
  • Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset register & balance sheet reconciliations
  • Responsible for producing, reconciling, and submitting VAT returns.
  • Provide costing analysis to directors
Experience:
  • AAT Level 4 Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA or QBE
  • 3 years experience working in a similar role
  • Previous experience of a Transactional Accountant or Assistant Accountant within a SME background
  • Professional SAGE experience
  • Strong excel skills to be able to carry out tasks such as VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, PIVOTS and GRAPHS
  • Experience of intercompany transactions and group accounts
  • Understanding of double entry bookkeeping
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
