Job Description

New opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join our successful IT client in their Manchester based team on a 6 month fixed term contract basis.Salary: up to £35,000Contract: 6 months (possibility for permanent opportunities after)Location: Media City (hybrid working)Your key responsibilities as the Management Accountant - 6 month FTC:

  • Assisting in cashflow reporting, entering and posting journals and set up of allocation journals.
  • Create, post and review allocation and elimination journals, correcting as necessary.
  • Set up Projects and perform eventing, review and analysis of project postings.
  • Reviewing P&Ls and posting entries.
  • Year-end cost accruals, control accruals and prepayments.
  • Balance sheet and revenue reconciliations and review.
  • Analysis and reporting of exceptional costs.
  • Management of provisions/balance sheet and raising manual invoices.
  • Assist in preparation of Statutory Accounts and audit queries.
  • Working with the wider business and analysts in the Centre of Excellence (CoE) to ensure accurate reporting of revenues.
  • Ensuring and providing coverage for month-end for any aspect of our divisional management accounting work.
Minimum criteria for the Management Accountant - 6 month FTC:
  • Part-qualified accountant, with proven experience in management accounting (with financial accounting experience an advantage).
