Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Management Accountant to join a rapidly growing, international organisation, this is an office-based role location in Manchester.The company is a market leading electronic repair company, with service centres worldwide. As the company grows they have seen a need for a management accountant to join their team. With a solid knowledge of accounting disciplines, you will play a key role in handling the day to day accounting activities and providing support to the Financial Controller.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Accounting support for the business for the UK, Europe & USA operations.
  • Ensure bookkeeping is completed accurately and timely according to internal schedules.
  • Ensure that all VAT returns are performed timely and accurately and submitted and paid on time.
  • Ensure that payroll taxes are paid timely and accurately.
  • Provide support on VAT, Corporate Tax, Personal Income Tax, and other tax matters as requested.
  • Analyse and investigate revenue and cost variances.
  • Prepare and post journals for accruals and prepayments for monthly management accounts.
  • Support the business with financial information to aid decision making.
  • Providing cover for the Financial Controller when required.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • AAT qualified or equivalent and working towards a professional financial qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
  • Previous experience of working in a finance environment with multiple companies and currencies.
  • Previous experience of the engineering and electronics industry (desirable).
  • Ability to work as part of a team with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure to achieve business deadlines with an accurate eye for detail.
  • Use of MS Office & Google work space.
