Job Description

Management AccountantSalary: £45,000- £55,000Location: ManchesterNew and exclusively assignment to partner a division of a reputable and market leading global manufacturing business.Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit an ambitious and driven Management Accountant. Based in Manchester, this is a broad and all-encompassing role which exposes you to a wide variety of global stakeholders in the business. Reporting into the FDand working closely with other divisions of the business, you will play a part in the companys strategic planning process.The Management Accountant will play a crucial role in the finance function of the business and is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team, with every opportunity to take ownership of 3 Group Companies, alongside acting in an advisory capacityto the management team. You will have a keen eye for detail and an inquisitive mind and be driven to interrogate the numbers and to question the status quo, where collaborate working and learning opportunities are part of everyday.A full job specification is available but below is a brief overview of general duties:-

  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, inclusive of balance sheet reconciliations and forecast for yearly outturn.
  • Liaison with external stakeholders to ensure their timely returns for VAT and payroll.
  • To provide business partnering to key internal stakeholders to offer pertinent financial information to aid in decision making and strategic planning.
  • Weekly cash flow forecast, reporting to Group Treasury function.
  • Audit contact for statutory audits across UK and Europe.
  • Working on many ad-hoc tasks and weekly and monthly reporting
The successful applicant will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or processing business.You will have a tenacious attitude and a willingness to succeed and have experience of working in an environment of strict cash management including detailed forecasting.
