This company are a specialist manufacturer of technical textiles for the paper industry. They are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer with mechanical bias (70 / 30) to provide breakdown, preventative maintenance and installation cover across the site. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within the textiles industry.Working within a small and experienced engineering team, you must promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with Health and Safety Legislation. You will work closely with the engineering and operational teams providing proactive and cost-effectivesolutions to both day to day and longer-term maintenance schedules and KPIs.Duties to include:- Service and maintenance of rotating machinery- Refurbishment of various types of gearboxes- Fabrication, machining and welding skills- Maintenance of pneumatic and hydraulic systems- Implementation and development of TPM, 5S and Lean manufacturing principlesThe Maintenance Engineer should be able to demonstrate:- Minimum of 5 years experience in a fast-paced maintenance environment- Ability to diagnose and rectify faults on complex plant and equipment- Ability to hit targets and self-manage their workload- Positive can-do attitude- Ability to use and record data to assist in future decision making and development of maintenance schedules- Basic computer skills- Knowledge of electrical control circuits- Experience of working on a wide range of complex PLC controlled equipment- Be able to read Engineering / technical drawings- Be able to work calmly and effectively when under pressure in breakdown situation- Be able to positively contribute to an engaged, motivated and forward-thinking organisationAbout ThemWith a long family owned history dating back over 225 years, they continue to provide innovative, technical and quality focused products.
