Job Description

Our client based in Manchester is looking for an experienced Logistics Operations Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing day to day multi-modal freight-forwarding and logisticsoperations and have strong, positive leadership skills.Your responsibilities will include: -

  • Supervising and supporting the day-to-day operational team activities.
  • Extensive client Liaison and escalation point for problems ensuring SLAs are maintained.
  • Addressing any failures and analysing the root causes.
  • Analysing trends on conformance failures to implement changes required.
  • Dealing with non-standard issues as they arise.
  • Training new staff in company procedures, empowering them and encouraging progression.
  • Identifying and implementing new procedures.
  • Identifying potential sales opportunities and assigning them to the correct departments.
  • Supporting the Branch Manager.
You will need:-
  • Supervisory experience across Air & Ocean Operations.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to influence others.
  • Ability to lead by example, encouraging and coaching others.
  • Ability to present arguments in a correct, structured, and easily understood way.
  • Personal dedication to continuously improve your skills and abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships with team members, celebrating and rewarding success.
  • Confidence to make innovative changes to achieve business success.
  • Knowledge and experience of AEO
