We are looking for a fully qualified, energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic consultant colleague to join the department and help in delivering high quality clinical care to its patients. This post provides a good balance of general outpatient nephrology and inpatient nephrology (with cover for medical outliers) in rotation with other Nephrology Consultants. Each stint on the Inpatient wards is two weeks long with one week including the weekend being on-call for the renal and transplant inpatients. The frequency of inpatient cover is approximately once in two months.The inpatient ward cover involves consultant led handover meetings at 0815 followed by a board round at 0900 Monday to Friday. 5 Consultant colleagues with specialist interest in transplantation medicine provide inpatient cover additionally to the transplant ward on a rotational basis. Ward Teams comprise of Foundation Doctors, Core Medical Trainees, Renal Specialist Trainees and Senior Clinical Fellows. In addition, there are 3rd and 5th Year Medical Students, Nursing Students and Trainee Physician Associates by rotation.
