Job Description

Due to company growth, we are recruiting a Loans Underwriter to work for an award-winning Specialised Lender based in Manchester City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity if you have experience within the financial field and are looking to further yourcareer with a growing business. You will receive a basic salary of £25,882 which will rise to £30,600 after 6 months, along with a monthly bonus up to £900.You will be working for an outstanding organisation who have been shortlisted for the MEN Business of Year Award - 2019 and have been ranked in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 - twice. Located in the heart of the city centre, next to excellent transportlinks.The Package for the Loans Underwriter:

  • £25,882 rising to £30,600 after completion of probation and up £900 per month in bonus
  • Optional to participate in 4-day week working

Duties for the Loans Underwriter:
  • Answering incoming call and assisting with all loan enquiries
  • Completing and reviewing loan applications
  • Examining supporting documents and verifying accuracy
  • Analysing all credit history to checking affordability
  • Questioning customers where needed and looking out for any fraudulent activity
  • Dealing with confidential documents in a professional manner
  • Managing an average of 20 cases at any one time, often with conflicting deadlines
  • Ensuring all activities comply with regulatory requirements and comply with all company policies
Skills for the Loans Underwriter:
  • We would like to hear from you if you have experience working within the financial industry as a Secured Loans Case Manager, Secured Loans Underwriter, Second Charge Case Manager, Second Charger Underwriter OR customer service roles within a high volumeFCA role with experience working in a KPI environment
  • You must have excellent attention to detail to analyse important paperwork
  • A strong communicator
  • Experienced working in a fast-paced environment
  • CeMAP qualified would be a huge advantage but not essential
