You will be a crucial part of the L&D team by assisting with the day-to-day running of learning andtalent management related initiatives, collaborating with the team on long-term projects whilst making a key contribution to the delivery of an impactful and highly engaging L&D curriculum. We are looking for someone with a good academic background, who hasthe ability to be solution-focused and stay organised under pressure. In the UK, we have offices in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and London.Our TeamOur UK HR team consists of our core generalist HR team (responsible for our UK fee earners, support staff and secretarial staff populations), Talent Acquisition, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Projects, Learning & Development, Payroll and Rewards & Benefits.The Learning and Development Assistant will be aligned to the L&D Team but will work closely with wider HR team.Learning and Development AssistantThe Role:You will work within the Learning & Development (L&D) team, managing the Learning Management System with responsibility for end to end coordination of our learning programmes. You will liaise with external trainers, book facilities, organise materials andother key tasks to ensure the smooth running of our L&D initiatives. You will also support our training Partners and Professional Support Lawyers by coordinating training activities for our legal teams. You will manage the L&D inbox and ensure all invoicesare paid promptly whilst tracking monthly L&D budget spend. You will liaise with our marketing and internal communications teams to create L&D related infographics, materials and communications as well as assist in the design, production and distribution oflearning materials. You will also provide support on project work across the wider HR team.With support, mentoring and guidance from the L&D team and wider HR function, we will help you to develop your L&D skills including facilitation skills and using learning technologies to create innovative and engaging learning content. We will support yourprofessional development through mentoring, on the job learning and the potential to complete formal L&D qualifications (such as CIPD).Learning and Development AssistantYou:You will be a collaborative team player with good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and take ownership of all tasks until completion. You will be proactive, energetic and have a can do approach. You willhave at least 6 months experience working in an administrative function, within a large multi-site organisation. You will also be experienced in using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Experience of using a Moodle LMS or similar system would be advantageous,as would experience of working in a HR, L&D or similar role.You will be used to working in a busy environment where you have to deal with multiple competing demands and tight deadlines.
