Job Description

Page Personnel are working exclusively with Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) to support them with appointing a Learning and Development Advisor on a 15 month FTC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating learning and organisationdevelopment priorities into detailed plans of activity.Client DetailsParliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) is an independent national service in the Public Sector and Government industry based in Manchester. They make fair and final decisions on complaints that have not been resolved by the NHS in England, UKgovernment departments, and some other public organisations. In cases where an individual or group believes there has been injustice because an institution has not acted fairly or has provided a poor service and not put things right, PHSO is the organisationthat investigates. PHSO do this fairly and transparently without taking sides, and their service is completely free.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Learning and Development Advisor include:

  • Develop and coach administration team members to enable high performance, development and engagement
  • Be responsible for the development and rollout of the ongoing L+D plan
  • Capacity management, including calculating the impact of training on operational roles and developing training plans
  • Project management and support to L+D and HR teams
  • Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of all L+D interventions as required
ProfileThe successful Learning and Development Advisor should have:
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of a busy L+D team
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across the organisation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience taking on small scale projects
