Job Description

The Team: Our EMEA Portfolio Accounting Team is expanding. We are on-boarding new clients and growing our EMEA footprint. The client base is a mix of large global Investment Managers (IMs) as well as local UK based (IMs). The team is part of Investment Operations andhas oversight of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR) utilised by our clients. The IBOR is the collective term for reporting provided to the clients to support trading activities including position, cash, forecasting and NAV returns. Job Purpose: An excellent opportunity to join a growing and fast-paced team, based in our Manchester Piccadilly office. The team are responsible for the daily client reporting and reconciliations in support of the IBOR. To facilitate this the team:

  • Regularly interacts with clients in providing consultation and resolving complex inquiries and transactions
  • Is Responsible for multiple custodian bank reconciliations for cash and stock working across multiple accounting platforms.
  • Provide daily and monthly reporting including positions, cash forecasting, month end client reports and ad hoc requests.
  • Works closely with global stakeholders including BNYM and external custodians, brokers and internal utilities (derivatives, corporate actions, recon support, pricing, transfer agency, fund accounting and market fx)
Communication is key; a successful candidate would be expected to deal with client queries from senior members on the client side. We are looking for candidates with:
  • Bachelors degree preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrable product knowledge (Funds, Derivatives, Equities and Fixed Income).
  • Demonstrable systems knowledge (TLM, Eagle, IAS) preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry.
