Job Description

Lead Project Manager sought for environmental consultancy - Role can be based anywhere - Occasional travel to sites required.Salary: £50,000Client DetailsLead Project Manager sought for environmental consultancy - Role can be based anywhere - Occasional travel to sites required.Salary: £50,000DescriptionThe Lead Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the strategic plan through providing oversight and reporting, as well as directly project managing key initiatives, with a focus on maximising benefit realisation.The Lead Project Manager will be responsible for the line management of the team, to ensure delivery and achievement of objectives, including the identification and implementation of improvements across the business and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

  1. Support the delivery of the strategic objectives and annual plans, by providing project support, oversight and reporting to ensure development and delivery of action plans and maximise benefits realisation.
  2. Ensure effective delivery of assigned projects, demonstrating expert knowledge of the full project lifecycle, including but not limited to project planning & delivery, stakeholder management, risk management, financial management and benefits realisation.
  3. Provide high quality line management to direct reports, to develop a capable and motivated team and ensure achievement of goals.
  4. Support the successful integration of future acquisitions by providing high quality project management.
  5. Develop and deliver an ongoing programme that identifies and implements improvement opportunities across the business, to increase efficiency and profitability and support a culture of continuous improvement.
  6. Support innovation across the group, by providing project management to ensure the smooth running of innovation activities and subsequent workstreams and projects.
  7. Provide support, training and guidance as required to improve project management standards and outcomes.
  8. Obtain and analyse information and data from across the organisation to identify issues or challenges, apply problem solving skills to identify alternatives and implement improvements to ways of working.
  9. Develop excellent relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure smooth running of projects and business activities
  10. Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and PMO governance mechanisms
  11. Ensure that all relevant PMO systems and records are accurately completed and kept up to date
  12. Support the Head of PMO on relevant enterprise workstreams, as required.
Profile
  • PRINCE2/MSP or equivalent qualification.
  • Change Management qualification advantageous
  • Excellent understanding of Project Management methodologies.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully managing projects/programmes/portfolios to deliver expected outcomes.
  • Experience of project managing acquisitions and integrations would be extremely advantageous
  • Experience of leading a team of project professionals to deliver outstanding outcomes.
  • Experience of improvement work, using a variety of techniques, delivering tangible results
  • Experience of developing and delivering training, workshops, and engagement events.
  • Excellent verbal communication and relationship management skills, including negotiation, persuasion and motivation at all levels.
  • Excellent written communications skill
  • Adept at interpreting and analysing data and information to identify improvement opportunities and action requirements.
  • Very strong Excel, Microsoft Office and project management system experience
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Positive attitude and a passion for improving efficiency and quality.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and work efficiently
