Job Description

As Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for assessing the skills and capabilities of a team of Junior Engineers and providing technical escalation on any piece of worked being executed by the them.Client DetailsOur client is a leading innovator within their industry and have seen huge growth over recent years.   • Scoping, provisioning, management, and support of Internal Technology Platforms including but not exclusive to Microsoft 365, AzureAD, Jamf, Intune, Zendesk, Salesforce, Atlassian, Slack, Miro, etc.
  • Ensuring internal platforms are risk assessed and based upon this risk, have a tested business continuity plan in place that passes a successful audit.
  • Live monitoring of services and applications, ensuring any potential impacting incidents are raised and dealt with accordingly.
  • Working closely with the Security team to implement and ensure Security best practices are implemented.
  • Providing end user support for all Internal Staff
  • Develop and Improve current Platform Team documentation
  • Act as the technical lead, while working closely with Delivery Management and Business Incident Management on project work and incidents that impacts internal platforms.
  • Lead, mentor and empower Junior Engineers to contribute towards and deliver against the technology roadmap, ensuring the quality of their work and outputs.

  • Experience working on an IT Service Desk, supporting a variety of users in a 2nd/3rd line support capacity.
  • Ability to lead and mentor other Engineers to increase technical capabilities and manage performance.
  • Experience in incident management processes and best practice.
  • Expert knowledge of Apple and Window devices including troubleshooting and configuration via provisioning platforms.
  • Ability to write automated scripts using Bash or PowerShell and managing through good source-code control practices (Gitlab, GitHub, etc.)
  • Experience in automated Joiner, Mover, Leaver processes, including SSO implementations for Cloud Platforms and applications.
  • Strong Networking knowledge and experience.
  • Experience running Proof of concepts in an enterprise environment.
  • Security first approach to developing solutions.
  • Proficient with OSX, Linux and Windows.
  • Experience in a customer focused role, ideally with internal users and third-party suppliers.
