Job Description

A unique opportunity has arisen for an accomplished LC-MS/MS scientist to join a successful, global instrument vendor working with novel LC-MS applications with a Life Sciences focus.Based from home you will focus on pre- and post-sales activities working with new and existing clients throughout the UK and Ireland. There will be a significant hands-on aspect to the role - training, developing methods and trouble-shooting LC-MS applications. These applications will be fundamental to the company’s instrument sales strategy and will include marketing material and customer demonstrations.You will be expected to travel up to 50% of your time to customer sites, forming strong relationships and to attend scientific meetings.The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum BSc in Chemistry or related subject - PhD/MSc preferred
  • Strong experience in "omics" LC-MS/MS (Q-ToF and/or orbitrap)
  • In-depth LC-MS method development capability
  • Exemplary organisational, communication & interpersonal skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
