Job Description

LC-MS Analyst£27,000 - £32,000 depending on experienceGlobal Contract testing companyBased in Greater Manchester - commutable from Warrington, Altrincham, Knutsford, Stockport, ManchesterA truly Global company that provides services to the Pharmaceutical industry is looking to appoint an additional LC-MS Analyst to their state of the art facility in Greater Manchester.There is also an LC-MS QToF Analyst role available on a salary of £35,000 for candidates with more experience.The successful candidate will be required to perform data analyses in line with customer requirements and deadlines, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures/Study Plans and regulatory guidelines.Duties:

  • Quantitative data processing using LCMS platforms
  • Analyse and process samples to required Standard Operating Procedures and Study plans
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and vigilance when carrying out tasks
  • Ability to work on own initiative, managing analytical workload
  • Competent interpreting results, trouble shooting, highlighting errors and problem areas
  • Competent in troubleshooting, interpretation of results, reporting outcomes, method development and validation
  • Ability to carry out routine preventative maintenance
  • Understand and compliant in Data Integrity requirements
  • Understand and compliant in "5s" standards methodology
  • Proficient in IT packages, in particular Microsoft Excel and Smartsheet
  • Responsible for compliance with all regulatory and Company requirements in relation to Quality, Health and Safety
  • To understand the responsibilities of Study Personnel as specified under GLP regulations
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and ensure housekeeping and cleanliness are to the highest standards
  • Ensuring all reports and studies are delivered in line with agreed deadlines
  • Understanding of key clients products and processes
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of a BSc in a Chemistry related discipline e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology etc.
  • Competent in LC-MS, with GC-MS desirable
  • Relevant experience in a Science related industry
  • In-date training in Good Laboratory Practice
  • QQQ, QToF, LC-MS-MS, Unifi Mass Lynx Open Lab and Microsoft Packages
