An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Law Costs Draftsman to join a well-respected, award-winning law firm in its Manchester City Centre office. The role is to work within the firm’s Health team, where you will be expected to provide dedicated costs support for litigation lawyers across several UK offices. You must have experience ofdrafting points of dispute, points of reply, costs budgets and bills of costs.The firm offers an excellent benefits package, including 25 days’ holiday plus buy and sell scheme, private medical, life assurance, season ticket loan and more.You will be responsible for the management of a caseload including schedules of costs, bills of costs/budgets, negotiating costs to settlement and some advocacy.The role involves dealing with both adverse and recovery costs claims on predominantly multi-track matters.This role requires a self-starter with the confidence to work autonomously, working on files from start to finish. Experience of clinical negligence costs would be advantageous.
