Job Description

The Company:

  • A Ladies Fast Fashion Multi-Product Designer is needed to join an established fashion supplier, creating trend led ranges for Missguided & the Boohoo group. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8am-4pm. You will travel to China twice a year for development trips (1-2 weeks each time). The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
    • The Role:
  • Designing a range of Ladieswear including Swimwear, Nightwear, Denim, Outerwear, Lingerie etc.
  • You will be involved in all aspects of the business from initial concept to finished product.
  • Create quick, commercial CADs for the young fashion, mass market.
  • Researching new ranges including market research and comp shops.
  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge of fashion trends.
  • Translating trends into commercial design.
  • Designing shapes, graphics and prints.
  • Use CAD confidently and effectively.
  • Producing detailed design sheets for the factories to develop samples.
  • Delivering products on budget and on brief.
  • Liaise with the team in China on a daily & weekly basis.
  • Travel to China twice a year for development trips.
  • Visit Manchester based clients for design meetings.
  • Other duties as required.
    • Skills Required:
  • MUST have 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
  • MUST have strong CAD skills including Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • MUST be a Fashion Design graduate or similar.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
