Teaching Personnel are recruiting a science graduate or a lab technician to work in a school in the south Manchester area. The successful lab technician would have experience working in a lab before or have the correct science qualifications to work in alab. The role will start on 4th January and last until at least the easter break. The contract will initially be on a temporary basis, with the chance to be taken on permanently by the school should the initial time be a success.A lab technician will be responsible for the setting up and cleaning up of practical experiments in the classroom, including helping put the main class teachers and instructing pupils on what to do in these experiments. Health and safety around chemicalswill also be of importance, ensuring the pupils know how to how to use them safely. An important element of the role will also to be ensuring chemicals are stored correctly and that the department is always stocked up, including the maintenance of equipment.The role- Lab technician role based in the Manchester.- £66.30 minimum pay, pay will be decided subject to experience level.- Payments will be made a week in arrears, with pay working on a PAYE basis.The school is based in the South Manchester area perfect for anyone commuting from the Tameside, Didsbury or central Manchester area. The school is close to main road links for those that drive and has an onsite car park free to use by all staff.
