Job Description

As Junior Merchandiser - Brands & Collections you will lead your category team to achieve departmental KPIs that contribute and reflect the top line company strategy.Ultimately you will be responsible for the successful delivery of your category sales, stock, profit and contribution targets through effective forecasting.Client DetailsOne of Manchesters leading Fashion companies in their Trafford Park/ Salford Keys location.   • Work closely with the category buying team to set the strategy for your product area which will deliver the most relevant product range to the customer at the right time
  • Report category and product performance to the wider business and senior management on a regular basis
  • Manage departmental stock & sales position using the WSSI, reacting to any trends in performance and flexing OTB to suit
  • Identify new opportunities to grow sales and profitability
  • Review, propose and implement CAYG activity to reduce terminal stock
  • Drive increase in margin through effective supply base management
  • Manage the performance of the team, setting objectives, giving regular feedback, addressing poor performance and provide training and development where necessary
  • Monitor competitor and market trends and make recommendations to improve the brands proposition
Profile
  • Previous experience as a junior merchandiser or senior assistant merchandiser
  • Strong communication, motivation and management skills
  • Organised and structured in approach with the ability to deliver goals and strategies
