Were hiring a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our experienced team of DevOps Engineers working across Infrastructure and Development teams alike.As Junior DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for assisting with faster development deliveries, while ensuring operational quality is always improving. Made possible by harnessing the power of automation and continuous delivery, creating end-to-end pipelinesthat can orchestrate the appropriate build, environment provisioning, deployment, and rigorous automated testing of software. The team is positioned horizontally across product aligned teams with responsibilities that span web, mobile, API and systems software.What does the job involveYou would be part of a team driving forward fundamental features of our delivery lifecycle, advising wherever required.You will work closely with the DevOps team to streamline software delivery and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in DevOps practices and work withcutting-edge technologies.It is important that you keep on top of the latest technology advancements and best practice in the DevOps space allowing you to influence our future architecture.Role & Responsibilities

• Youll assist in the deployment and configuration of technologies and tools used in software development, including build servers, version control systems, and automated testing frameworks.
• Assist in managing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services, as those provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Work together with the development team to resolve problems with infrastructure and software deployments.
• Work with infrastructure as code to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Create and maintain scripts and automation tools to simplify infrastructure administration and software deployment.
• Help with access control and vulnerability management, as well as monitoring and maintaining system security.
• Contribute to the setup of monitoring and alerting systems to track system and application performance.
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Keep abreast of current DevOps and software development trends and best practises.

Knowledge & SkillsA Junior DevOps Engineer would have the following skills:

• Basic understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and methodologies.
• Basic system administration skills for both Windows and Linux-based operating systems.
• Scripting and automation skills using languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes
• Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Other skills which would advantageous would be:

• Proficiency with version control systems like Git, including branching, merging, and resolving code conflicts.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• A basic grasp of network concepts, firewalls, and security best practices can help in ensuring the security and reliability of the infrastructure.
• Proficiency in tools for monitoring and setting up alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues.
