Job Description

Junior Acoustic Consultant - ManchesterWe are currently seeking a Junior Acoustician to join an award-winning Acoustic Consultancy in Manchester. My client specialises in acoustic advice for the built environment and offers a range of services including noise impact assessments, sound insulationtesting, vibration & dust monitoring and various others! Joining as a Junior Acoustician, you will have the chance to gain experience working on various project types including residential developments, commercial schemes, mixed-use complexes and many others.My client has been recognised as one of the rising stars within the construction industry - this is a great opportunity for someone seeking the next step-up in their career!It is essential candidates have some level of experience (minimum of a 6-month placement working for a UK based Acoustics firm). Applicants should be educated to degree level in Acoustical Engineering, or another relevant discipline. Alternatively, candidatesshould hold a post-graduate qualification such as the Institute of Acoustics Diploma. Ideally, you should have Student Membership of the IOA and have a real passion for the industry.Your daily duties will include:

  • Site surveys & sound insulation testing.
  • Vibration surveys.
  • Equipment preparation.
  • Calculations & modelling.
  • Room and building acoustics.
  • Report writing.
  • Professional development.
