This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business to deliver property maintenance services, undertaking repair activities predominantly within customer’s homes, but also voids and for other clients as required.Start and finish your day from home with no need to attend their office daily -just for team meetings.Colleague Benefits:

    • £31,800 per annum (£16.52 per hour) with opportunity for additional earnings through participation in their out of hours’ standby service on a rota basis
    • Multi skilled allowance of up to £750 per annum when accredited as multi skilled in tiling, plastering, or plumbing, subject to conditions.

About them:Our client is one of the largest registered providers of social housing in the North West, with 35,000 properties across the region employing over 1,000 colleagues. .They are a in house contractor (DLO) and are one of the largest contractors in the area. They deliver a high-quality flexible service to their customers ensuring their homes remain fit for the future.They are recruiting a number of joiners to cover repairs across the Greater Manchester area providing all day-to-day repairs and vacant properties repairs, their customers.Suitable candidates will be matched to the closest regional patch in Greater Manchester where possible to reduce excessive travel. but candidates may need to cover the a Greater Manchester area at times.What they are looking for:
    • Minimum of L2 NVQ or equivalent qualification in Joinery and relevant experience.
    • Full UK manual driving licence.
    • Appropriate CSCS card.
    • Sound knowledge of building construction, components, building trades and applicable building regulations.
    • Experience of working in a customer focussed service.
    • Proven ability to deliver a quality customer centred repairs service.
    • Experience of working in a target driven environment.
    • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, regulation and ACOPS relevant to the post and associated tasks undertaken within it, in line with HASAWA 1974.
Desirable requirements:
    • Experience of working within a commercial and domestic property maintenance environment.
    • Experience of delivering services within the social housing sector.
    • Experience of using PDA technology (handheld/mobile working technology).
    • Hold relevant health & safety qualifications which relate to the sector/construction industry in general for example, Asbestos awareness, power tool training, Manual handling training
The role involves participation in an out of hours standby service on a rota basis as required, which includes evenings and weekend work. This is in addition to the contractual hours for which you will receive additional pay and compensation, details of which will be discussed at the interview.There is an optional opportunity to become accredited through Burnley college to become multi-skilled in tiling, plastering, or plumbing for which additional allowances are payable, subject to conditions.Required skills
