Job Description

IT Project Manager - Hybrid role with travel - Manchester or Sheffield - £40k - £55k (depending on experience)Project Manager, ideally with experience of managing projects with M365, Intune, AzureAD, Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint migrations and coming from an MSP backgroundThere are 10 new vacancies per second added to the Internet, so how I am I going to grab your attentionAnd don’t most Job Ads start with "we have an exciting opportunity"Well, please allow me to explain why this role really is……IT Project Manager. A job title I am sure you have come across before. But what does that meanYou will be the technical lead on projects and therefore comfortable with carrying out all the stages of projects to ensure that all projects are profitably driven to conclusion (managing scope, time, people and budget for each). Examples of projects couldbe onboarding of new customers, server and network upgrades, 365 migrations, on premise to cloud etc.Let me give you an insight on the company you will be joining.They aim to build an environment where employees can enjoy a high energy, positive and engaging environment that embraces the flexibility that their staff tell them they want. It is a small but growing business where people know each other.All sounds good so far, rightSo, what about the experience needed and qualifications and personal attributesIdeally you have managed projects with M365, Intune, AzureAD, Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint migrations
  • Relevant IT qualifications desired:
    • ITIL, PRINCE or other relevant certification.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, Microsoft365 and where and where not these technologies are suitable.
  • Knowledge of networking; TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Firewalls, Switching, Wireless etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems; Windows Desktops, Windows Server.
  • Understanding and experience with PowerShell and or other scripting languages.
  • Working knowledge and experience of virtualisation technologies; HyperV, VMware, containerisation etc.
  • Citrix knowledge desirable
  • A desire to continually learn and develop with the ever-growing technological landscape in IT.
  • UK Driving License due to travel to offices and client sites.
  • Oh, and above all someone that can speak to people as well as a computer!
