Infrastructure Engineer - Manchester - £40,000 / great benefitsThe company:One of the North Wests leading universitys are undergoing a wide range of complex business and IT change to their student management systems to ensure they remain one of the prominent UK universities and offer their students the best possible experience during their time with them.Your Role:Your position will be a Infrastructure Engineer supporting an user environment of over 30,000,your workload will be a mix of BAU and project work with focus more on project work due to the plans that this university has for its students. This work will involved a lot of work around moving current systems from on premise to hosted solutions including work with Azure and AWS which you will be involved along with virtualisation, and storage improvementsFor this role you will need to demonstrate experience supporting medium to large infrastructure environments and having 3rd line support responsibilities Essential Technologies*VMware*NetApp*EMC*Cisco UCS*AWS or AzureDesirable*VSan ready nodes, nutanix or VXrail *Linux*SCCMBenefits:The benefits package for this role is very attractive and offers 35 days holiday, plus 8 Bank holidays and the university closes between Christmas and New year.
