Job Description

As IT Infrastructure Analyst you will support the day to day running of IT operations infrastructure for the business providing hands on technical knowledge for all aspects of the operations landscape.Client DetailsMichael Page Technology are proud to have partnered with a leading European manufacturing business, that is continuing its growth phase and looking for an IT Infrastructure Analyst with Cisco Networking skills to support the day to day running of the IToperations infrastructure.DescriptionWhat youll be doing:As IT Infrastructure Analyst you will support the day to day running of IT operations infrastructure for the business.Key Skills & Experience:

  • Responsible for the day to day running and support of the IT operations infrastructure, meeting the GIS strategy of robust, stable and supported systems.
  • Provide hands on technical knowledge for all aspects of the operations landscape.
  • Develop and maintain the support procedures, necessary for all aspects of the operations landscape.
  • Work with the Technical Services Team to identify and perform tasks to regularly patch and upgrade the operations landscape to ensure it remains robust, stable and secure.
  • Contribute to the support of key Business critical applications, ensuring they are maintained and supported within the defined service level parameters.
  • Perform tasks that ensure the key infrastructure and desktop services are available 24x7 365 days per year.
  • Monitor, maintain & report on overall system performance of the operations landscape.
  • Review change and development requests that are raised and recommend appropriate action.
  • Provide the required technical knowledge to support GIS projects.
  • Prioritise problems to ensure effective customer service
  • Provide support for the Group IT infrastructure, local and wide area networks including problem solving and performance monitoring.
  • Where required, lead projects ensuring that tasks are completed to plan and in line with GIS project standards.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the infrastructure located in the 2 x DataCentres and site based computer rooms.
  • Help maintain, support and develop the procedures, necessary to manage the Datacentre and site based computer room environments.
  • Contribute to and help develop, maintain and test the GIS Disaster Recovery plans
  • Where required, manage projects ensuring that tasks are completed to plan and in line with GIS project standards
