As the largest provider of academic qualifications in the UK, we mark over seven million GCSEs and A-levels each year and it’s our people who make this happen.IT Asset ManagerPermanentManchester£44,123 - £50,772 + additional benefitsWe are looking for an IT Asset Manager to join us at AQA to hold responsibility for the daily and long-term strategic management of software and technology-related hardware within the organization. This includes reporting, planning, monitoring, and recording software licence and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.In this role you’ll be:

  • Maintaining accurate hardware and software asset management information, forecasting and budgeting management, as well as financial asset planning.
  • Eliminating waste and increasing efficiency by making the best use of existing IT asset resources
  • Helping AQA management to make strategic decisions and optimize spending within the IT environment, as well as enabling a deeper understanding of IT’s business value.
  • Producing high levels of performance by modelling leadership behaviours with confidence and providing clarity, challenge, feedback, coaching and development via matrix management of colleagues across Technical Operations
  • You will have:
  • Experience of managing and maintaining databases and records of information such as licences, service agreements, and warranties for the organization’s software and hardware across on-premise and cloud solutions.
  • The ability to generate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports on current assets and CIs and their status; also perform trend analyses
  • Profound knowledge of licensing agreements involving software, including Microsoft, Adobe, and Oracle
  • Strong knowledge and extensive experience working with a CMDB and the specific business services that it supports
