Job Description

iOS Engineer

  • £32,000 (for 4 days) plus take as much holiday as you need policy
  • 100% remote (but a co-working space in the UK)
  • US office with yearly get-togethers in California

  • This team has built an accurate app that provides people with key information before they head out into the big blue.
  • They are genuinely passionate about building the best possible product out there and have a very close to 5* rating on the Apple store - were not surprised though!
  • Theyre also a team of generally awesome humans with a huge amount of technical knowledge so as an associate youll be in your element.
Whats it like to work there as an engineer
  • Youll be joining the Native Team of about 4 iOS Engineers and 2 Android Engineers.
  • Youll be working on adding brand-new features to the app. Youll also have the chance to work on the iPad and the Apple Watch App too - it will not be boring here!
  • The teams are super collaborative - they have weekly ceremonies where they discuss ways of working and what could be improved.
  • They also have fortnightly lightning talks from senior engineers across the business and have daily stand-ups
  • Lots of collaboration across the team in general but especially as an Associate iOS Engineer. Youll have a bunch of support and will pair programme with Senior iOS Engineers.
  • No legacy code here at all and they use the latest Swift
What theyre looking for
  • A junior engineer who has built and had exposure to building an iOS app either in a commercial environment or as a side hustle
  • You may be a software engineer right now and have huge interest/passion for iOS and would like to pursue this as a career - this is a great sidestep opportunity!
  • Someone who isnt afraid to get stuck in, speak up and be a sponge
  • Someone whos ambitious and is looking to join a strong engineering culture, on an exciting app with millions of users!
Other company/package info which is handy to know
  • You can work literally from ANYWHERE in the UK. Some of their employees are currently doing a tour of the UK and working from their van.
  • Youll be involved in their companywide get-togethers once a year so be expected to go to some very nice locations like California.
  • Youll receive unlimited holiday AND youll also have 2 rest weeks a year over Christmas and Thanksgiving!
