Job Description

You will work with colleagues to contribute to the Audits vision and work with our Auditees to secure an improved and enhanced Governance and Control environment across the business. This is underpinned by role modelling the values in all that we do. Theinternal auditors are responsible for the delivery of audits/assignments to a high standard in line with audit methodologyClient DetailsThe client are a well know Financial Services business based in Greater Manchester.DescriptionThe Internal Auditors responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Completing audit planning including documentation of audit-scope, process understanding, risk and control identification, and testing strategies
  • Completing audit fieldwork by testing key controls and documenting your audit work
  • Supporting Audit Owner by writing high-quality issues and recording managements action plans
  • Completing testing of audit issues confirmed as closed by the business
  • Creating an environment to encourage knowledge sharing, asking questions and sharing viewpoints with Internal Audit colleagues and peers in the business
  • Taking into account reputation of at all times, through positive interactions and following policy and process
  • Setting an example and supports far and ethical behaviour in all colleagues
  • Driving personal learning to support achievement of career aspirations and support citizenship agenda across Internal Audit to contribute positively to communities we operate in
ProfileThe successful Internal Auditor should have;
  • Extensive experience in risk-based auditing or risk / control activities
  • Practical knowledge of relevant regulatory environment within the UK
  • Team player; excellent communications skills, good attention to detail
  • High performance in being able to achieve desired targets / outcomes in previous roles
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CIA, MIIA, ACCA, CISA, for audit roles; technical qualification for specialist team roles)
  • Knowledge and experience of auditing retail banking, and ideally business banking
  • Experience of relevant regulated financial services environments
