For this role in particular we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience

  • A background in sales and account management, maintaining relationships and generating sales
  • Ability to deal with customer queries, raise quotes and sales orders
  • Experience working closely with external stakeholders, ideally Buyers and Sales/Account Managers
  • Experience selling construction products (ideally civil) would be advantageous
  • A high aptitude when dealing with numerical and verbal information. High levels of interpersonal, persuading, influencing and negotiating skills
What will I be doing in the roleThe primary purpose of the Internal Account Manager role is to maintain a front line sales role, to deliver and exceed sales targets (sales revenue, volume and margin) set by the business.Reporting through the Sales Office Manager, Internal Account Managers will have a thorough understanding of the Companys overall strategy which is "To be the first choice for Customers and Employees" and will use this to support the Hambaker Pipelines salesstrategy and culture.In this role, you will;
  • Develop a sales approach to with support from the Sales Office Manager to maximise opportunities within the designated sales region.
  • Proactively identify and develop potential opportunities through targeted sales calls
  • Work closely with external sales team to develop excellent customer knowledge, relationships and selling opportunities.
  • Communicate positively with colleagues and regional customers at all levels on a daily basis to encourage and convert sales enquiries.
  • Prepare quotations on a "rapid response" basis to provide excellent customer service.
  • Understand and support the National sales strategy for H Range access covers & gratings, and drive and improve sales volumes, prices and margins whenever possible
  • Negotiate with suppliers to optimise product costs for bought in product lines.
  • Follow-up of all quotations and successfully negotiate orders.
  • Input orders into the SAP operating system and manage the process from order to payment on time in full error free.
  • Adopt a cradle to grave management approach for all orders and liaise closely with internal manufacturing, despatch and finance departments to ensure customer satisfaction and prompt payment.
