Job Description

An excellent Interim Procurement Lead opportunity based at a large public sector organisation in Manchester, offering fully remote working with occasional office attendance. The contract is initially for 6 months with likelihood of a 1 year extension. Therole of the Interim Procurement Lead will be to manage and deliver end to end procurement of new digital systems that is fully compliant with PRC 2015 regulations.Client DetailsThis growing public sector establishment are looking for an Interim Procurement Lead to successfully drive and implement new digital systems within their organisation. They arerecognised as a leader of Social Value through public sector procurement and ethical strategies.DescriptionThe Key responsibilities of the Interim Procurement Lead will be to:

  • Develop a comprehensive procurement strategy for the new ERP systems programme
  • Deliver programmes and objectives in a timely manner
  • Lead on supplier negotiations as the procurement develops
  • Ensure transparent scrutiny when contributing to strategies that are key to solutions of the programme
  • Guide the team through procurement processes and ensure key policies are adhered to throughout eg, Ethical Procurement
  • Contribute to Stakeholder Engagement activity in accordance with a Stakeholder Engagement Strategy determined by the Programme Board
ProfileThe successful Interim Procurement Lead will:
  • Hold extensive knowledge around PRC 2015 regulations and public sector procurement
  • Have good procurement experience within ICT
  • Understand and have implemented end-to-end procurement of ERP systems successfully
  • Have the ability to lead a team and project manager complex ICT projects
  • Excellent experience within negations and understand desired outcomes
