Job Description

The CompanyMy client is a leading and expanding insurance group who are renowned for their staff reward and recognition and are in The Times Top 100 Companies to work for.The role of a Pet Insurance Agent is to ensure the efficient and professional handling of all aspects of pet insurance including service and claims.The RoleAs Project Manager, you will be working in an exciting, diverse and changeable environment. You will be a valued member of the team and expected to deliver high quality projects and deliverables across a broad range of technologies and business areas throughvarious delivery methodologies to provide value and benefits to the business.Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out delivery of projects and products using various methodologies.
  • Work with the business to identify transformation opportunities.
  • Develop business cases for new investments and prioritise project requirements.
  • Create and analyse relevant information and develop recommendations for presentation to senior management.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of projects to all stakeholders.
  • Provide timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts.
  • Assess and address the operational impacts of projects - e.g. training and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate interaction and communication among impacted departments.
  • Planning and leading meetings or workshops as required.
  • Working closely with Product Owners / Project Sponsors to prioritise workloads including backlogs when required.
  • Work with other appropriate team leaders/managers to allocate resource to project tasks and track progress of work.
  • Working closely with local delivery teams to assist in any prioritisation and scheduling decisions.
  • Responsibility for producing succinct and appropriate reporting and input into the demand and delivery portfolio.
  • Contribute to the future strategy of the Project Delivery team.
  • Tracking of all risks, issues, dependencies, deliverables, costs and benefits.
  • Review processes to ensure continual improvements.
  • Travel may be required as appropriate in your role as Project Manager.
Key Competences:
  • Able to converse with both technical and non-technical information.
  • Familiar with a range of Project Management, Agile, and Scrum methodologies with the enthusiasm to contribute towards speed of delivery and continual improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, at all levels.
  • Good workshop facilitation skills.
  • Experience managing aspects of large cross-functional projects across the full lifecycle with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience working with suppliers and contractors.
  • Proven ability to support the creation, review and edit of requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solutions.
  • Excellent Project and Change management skills and experience.
  • Commercial and Financial acumen.
  • Proven experience of having managed diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the business analysis discipline.
What were looking for:
  • Experienced Project Manager with certification.
  • Solid and proven experience of Project methodologies.
  • Financial and Insurance Services experience with business knowledge.
  • Technical background highly desirable.
What is the salary and hours 35 hours per week, 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. The role will have some flexibility of working between home and the office.
