Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an associate to join the restructuring and insolvency team of a Legal 500 law firm in their Manchester office.Their team is close knit and made up of Partners and Lawyers who are recognised in the Legal 500 as Leaders in the field. They advise a large client base including banks, corporate clients, accountants and other stakeholders and creditors on the full spectrumof corporate restructuring and insolvency matters such as:

  • Restructurings
  • Corporate Insolvency
  • Distressed Lending
  • Security enforcement
  • Directors duties
The Role and Responsibilities:
  • You will have a diverse caseload covering all aspects of insolvency litigation, including bankruptcy & liquidation litigation, negligence claims, defending director disqualification proceedings, and administrations
  • As an experienced Solicitor, you will also have the opportunity to supervise the junior members of the team and get involved in business development

Candidate Requirements:
  • The firm is looking to hire a candidate who is looking to progress to Partnership.
  • The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years PQE in a reputable team, with a proven track record in corporate restructuring work.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • Strong legal and leadership skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • Professional and effective communication with team members and contacts
