Job Description

Role: Infrastructure ManagerContract: PermanentLocation: ManchesterSalary: £50,000 - £60,000Start: ASAPMy client in Manchester is on the lookout for an experienced Infrastructure Manager to come on board on a full-time, permanent basis. As the Infrastructure Manager you will be reporting into the Head of IT and will be working on various projects streams, both security and infrastructure focused. You will be ensuring key systems and platforms are suitably maintained and operating to max performance and will be providing overall support to the business by acting as an escalation for support issues. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Helping to ensure the business is suitably protected to external interference / back up protection.
  • Providing support to the Head of IT
  • Helping maintain accreditations and technical standards
  • Act as an ISMS Management Representative
  • Network & Telecommunication Management
  • Software License Management
  • Mobile Device Management/Provisioning
  • Ensure systems meet the business needs of SO27001 and 9001
  • Developing positive working relationships with internal and external personnel
  • Line Management of support personnel
  • Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
  • Install, configure and administer systems such as accounting, collaboration or other business software.
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file system data are successfully backed up
  • High Level Incident and Change Management
  • Delivery systems architecture: familiarity with server and storage technologies
