Job Description

Role: IT Infrastructure EngineerLocation: ManchesterSalary: £35,000 - £45,000 (experience dependent)We are recruiting on behalf of a software company based in Manchester who are looking for a talented infrastructure engineer to join their team.Company Profile:

    • In this role, you will be working in a small team of infrastructure engineers, ensuring that the IT systems are supported, implemented and maintained to the highest standard - you will play a vital role in allowing this company to continue to provide their impeccable services uninterrupted.Sound good Your responsibilities in this role will include:
  • Linux / Windows server builds (cloud-based & data centre environment)
  • Surveying sites and performing installations remotely for various clients
  • Using ticketing system for internal and external infrastructure support
  • Acting as the escalation point for more junior members of staff
    • You will need experience in the following tech:
  • Firewalls - Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Juniper OR WatchGuard
  • Switches - Cisco OR HP
  • VoIP engineering - setup & management
  • Virtualisation - VMware, Proxmox OR Workspaces
  • Linux
  • Windows
    • It is also desirable if you have experience with:
  • AWS
  • CHEF (or similar)
