Job Description

Infrastructure Engineer (Infrastructure, Engineer, VMware, Hyper-V, O365, Azure, Backup, Storage, Nimble, 3Par, Dell, Server, Active Directory, Networking, Cisco) - Permanent - ManchesterCharles Simon Associates are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer for a Global business based in Manchester.Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annumLocation: ManchesterSkills/Requirements for the Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Experience in a similar role previously
  • Virtualization experience with a preference for VMware, however Hyper-V will be ok
  • Storage experience, no specific product required i.e.: Dell EqualLogic, Nimble, 3Par, EMC
  • Office365 experience
  • Experience of MS Server
  • Strong networking experience such as DNS/DHCP, VLAN, VPN etc
  • SCCM experience
    • Start date for the Infrastructure Engineer is ASAPThe Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Reviewing current projects and their associated milestones and prioritise
  • Maintaining and Improving existing infrastructure by consistent checks and reviews
  • Supporting IT Service Desk to resolve escalated calls or provide training and support
  • Maintaining the Microsoft Server Estate
  • Managing changes to network switches and Firewalls
  • Perform Software and hardware upgrades to Switches Firewalls and servers across the Infrastructure estate
  • Maintaining the SAN and VMware infrastructure
